I hadn't heard about your health nor your fine efforts. That's true to who you are. As far as I'm concerned you're still "one of us" and always will be. For it is people like us who toil in silence for the greater good, expecting neither gratitude nor thanks with our sole belief being what we do makes a difference. My deepest condolences on behalf of the government who acts with such callous duplicitousness with regard to those who serve. My best, shipmate. Jude Clark
I am one of Steve's ex-colleagues in the submarine service. He is a good man that has suffered much while gladly serving his country during a lifetime of service. He deserves to be heard. Please listen. Julius (ed. note: Julius was my shipmate onboard the USS Seahorse)
I am proud to have known you as both a friend and co-worker for more than 20 years. From California to Colorado, Philadelphia, New Jersey, and New York, we have shared good times and bad, good health and now devastating illnesses. When I heard that you had received a liver transplant because of exposure to dangerous chemicals at Ground Zero after 9/11, it made me recall what you told my wife in Florida in 2003. I was on the waiting list for a heart transplant and you offered to donate your heart to me if you died while I still needed a donor. How ironic life is sometimes. Anyhow buddy, keep up the fight. I will help you in any way I possibly can. Your brother always, Doug Till.
